Dr. Bruce Pate

Dr. Pate is a native of the Triangle area, having lived in Durham, Chapel Hill and Raleigh. He attended Wake Forest and UNC for his undergraduate work before spending two years in the Peace Corps. He returned to earn a Masters in Public Health and spent seven years as an Environmental Chemist. Dr. Pate began a second career when he entered the Southern College of Optometry where he graduated with honors in 2001. He is married to a teacher and has four children.

Dr. Pate believes in serving the local and global community. He has participated in numerous mission trips to Central and South America and is a current member and Past President of the Durham Lions Club.
